Emmanuel Omobowale

EOEmmanuel Omobowale is a Postdoctoral Fellow for the ESC Program. Senior Lecturer in the Department of English, University of Ibadan, where he teaches Creative Writing, Literature and Medicine, Bioethics and different aspects of Literature. In June 2001, Dr. Omobowale successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled ‘Literature and Medicine: A Study of Selected Creative Works of Nigerian Physicians’, which is a pioneering work on Literature and Medicine in Nigeria. Between August 2002 and May 2003, Dr. Omobowale was a postgraduate student at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, where he earned an M.A. degree in Bioethics. Dr. Omobowale has been working with medical students at the University of Ibadan to sensitize them about different aspects of research and clinical ethics.
