Feng Wang

Feng Wang is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sandra A. Rotman Laboratories, McLaughlin Rotman Centre for Global Health within the Translational Research Pillar.

Feng Wang's research interests focus on two research areas:

1. Mesenchymal stem cell therapy on infection  diseases, lung injury and heart transplantation:

• He has established technology to isolate, purify, identification and culture different of Mesenchymal stem cells.
• He is interested in research of mechanisms of these Mesenchymal stem cells on modulation of immunity function and inflammatory reaction.
• Also, He is interested in application of these cells on treatment of infection disease, injury prevention and heart transplantation.

2. HMGB1-TLR and Fas-FasL signaling in inflammatory reaction:

• HMGB1-TLR signaling in the mechanism of inflammatory reaction.
• cross-talking between HGMB1-TLR-inflamamtion signaling pathway and Fas-HMGB1-inflammation signaling pathway.
• Fas-HMGB1 signaling pathway in the acute lung injury.
• Hmgb1-TLR4 signaling pathway in liver Ischemia/Reperfusion injury.
• Biomarker application of HMGB1 in inflammatory diseases.
